Pocahontas And Her Forest Friends

Posted under Animal Kingdom & Pocahontas & Friends

In Disney World’s Animal Kingdom is a great show for kids and their parents that features live animals and of course Pocahontas! In Pocahontas And Her Forest Friends you are greeted by Pocahontas herself and actually get to see her friends interact within the show. It’s a great way to take a break and see some native American animals as you see just how well animals can be trained. The great talking tree in the movie even comes alive as some of the famous songs from the movie are sung as well. Although this show has been around for a long time it sadly will be ending shorty. Soon it will only live in Digital Disney form so watch now and remember the show as it once was in all its glory.

Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular

Posted under Hollywood Studios & Indiana Jones Spectacular

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to one entertaining, hilarious and full throttle show in Indiaina Jones Stunt Spectacular. The show starts off with a great preshow where extras from the “film show” are selected from the crowd. Once that part is over the real thrills begin as Indiana Jones himself bursts from the roof, dangling inches from the floor on a rope. The famous “boulder chase” is then played out with some funny segments to end. The next part of the show reintroduces us to the extras as a market scene is pulled into place. Some great stunts are once again pulled as Indy and Marion climb the buildings of the market, fight off a few ninjas and blow up a truck all in fifteen minutes. While the scene is changed the girl who plays Marion teaches an “extra” a few stunts of her own and a surprise is shown to the audience that will blow you away! The show then ends with the famous helicopter fight scene, ending with a disappearing enemy and an huge explosion! With the new movie out Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular is better then ever and is always a blast to watch!

Hall of Presidents

Posted under Hall of Presidents & Magic Kingdom

In Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is a show that will not only educate you but entertain you as well! That is the Hall of Presidents which allows you to meet all 43 presidents as well as learn a bit about colonial America. The show is similar to Epcot’s American Adventure as it is completely done with video and animatronic figures of the presidents. Several famous speeches are said along with at least a hello from all forty three presidents. Each time a new President is elected the show changes as each new president is added. This keeps the show one of the freshest in the Magic Kingdom and all of Disney World as it changes at least every eight years. Although you may already know your colonial history and most about the Presidents, the show is still great and will give you a nice break if you are tired from walking all day!

The American Adventure

Posted under American Adventure & Epcot

In Epcot you can find the American Pavilion there is a show dedicated to the history and people of America.  The show is similar to another show in Disney World, the Hall of Presidents in the Magic Kingdom. The show is done completely with animatronics and is hosted by Ben Franklin and Mark Twain. Many of America’s major historical events, inventions and people are showcased in the adventure as you travel through America’s history through great storytelling and through a great show. Below I also have a video of the “pre show” which is a group that sings colonial songs and a colonial band that plays vintage music while you wait for the show to begin.

Welcome to Animal Kingdom

Posted under Animal Kingdom & Welcome

If you arrive at any of the parks before they open you are treated with a welcome show. Animal Kingdom’s welcome show has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto as its stars and lets you know what you will see and need to visit the Animal Kingdom. It’s a fun show that gets you dancing and in the mood to see some animals and all the other attractions Animal Kingdom has to offer. If you follow the van that Minnie and Goofy ride they will lead you to the safari so it’s also a mini-parade and a welcome show all in one!

It’s A Small World

Posted under It's a Small World & Magic Kingdom

It’s a Small World is a Disney classic as it inspired Walt Disney to create the parks we know and love today. It all starts off as you set sail to meet children from countries all over the world singing one small, catching (and sometimes annoying) sound. The children throughout the ride and the music change to fit the country and region they represent and in the end they all come together to show just how small our world is. To finish things off we see goodbye messages from all around the world that show us just how small and magical the world we live in today is!
